There are some incredibly good but also incredibly expensive spotlights or driving lights available these days. Light Force, Hella and IPF are just a few of the brands that make some amazing spotties. Like other choices of 4wd accessories and 4x4 parts I decided to get something basic to begin with until I had a bit more knowlege to make a better choice. More experience will also help me to appreciate the performance of the better driving light units and the higher price. I chose a Narva kit with one pencil beam light and one spread beam light. With one of each I improve the long range visibity while also improving the illumination along the sides of the road closer to the vehicle. As I do not do an incredible amount of night driving these lights more than meet my requirements and make night highway driving much more comfortable.
Installation was relatively easy except they just don't give you enough wire to do the job for the size of a typical four wheel drive. I had to buy a fair bit more wire plus it was recommended that I add a fuse into the circuit for safety. In the end the result is great and for now these driving lights do a great job. It really does reduce fatigue when driving at night when you can see clearly without straining.
